IOCI Stage 2 Bulletins and Notes
IOCI Bulletins
Bulletins are produced periodically to present breaking news on IOCI activity and preliminary insights to current studies. A bulletin is usually prepared after each panel meeting. Bulletins are labelled by the headline item but may contain several lines of current information.
- Partners agree in principle on membership and mission for stage 2 of IOCI, Bulletin No. 1, 23 May 2003 (pdf, 421kb)
- IOCI sets path to unravelling change in Region's climate, Bulletin No. 2, 21 August 2003 (pdf, 244kb)
- Bright start reported for the second stage of IOCI's Climate Program, Bulletin No. 3, 5 December 2003 (pdf, 265kb)
- 18th Panel Meeting sets agenda to broaden dialogue on climate change, Bulletin No. 4, 15 May 2004 (pdf, 265kb)
- Large weather patterns and climate trend - Path to better understanding, Bulletin No. 5, 17 August 2004 (pdf, 525kb)
- IOCI reports key findings of recent research into south-western climate, Bulletin No. 6, 15 August 2005 (pdf, 1.5Mb)
The "How has our Climate Changed" Series
IOCI is concerned that there is insufficient awareness in the WA community of the climate change which has occurred in recent decades. Of even more concern is an apparently low level of awareness of the implications of this change.
Projections of future change due to the enhanced Greenhouse Effect have dominated the formation of public attitude. However, observed changes of recent decades (whatever the causes) need an informed response in many decisions of our community and individuals. Some impacts of this observed change are profound.
