This document contains the appendices to the IOCI3 Technical Synthesis Report.

This report provides a synthesis of the technical information of the research in IOCI3. It contians detailed descriptions of methods, results, knowledge gaps and references. Appendices to this report can be found in the document IOCI3 Technical Synthesis Report - Appendices.

This Summary provides a synthesis of IOCI3 research results for policymakers and the general public. Each section also provides links to the companion Technical Report of the Indian Ocean Climate Initiative, Stage 3, where more detailed descriptions of methods, results, knowledge gaps and references may be found.

By Dr John McBride, this cost analysis is based on relevant literature, information on government websites, and discussions with forecasters and mining company representatives. It also derives from the author’s long-term experience in tropical cyclone research.
